The Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Greenhouse at Spring Harbor is an environmental learning center that uses reclaimed, recycled, repurposed and sustainably-made building materials in all areas of construction. Since an initial $9,500 grant from the Foundation for Madison Public Schools, Spring Harbor has raised an additional $140,000 towards the construction of this fantastic science learning center. The greenhouse will soon be the cornerstone of a community gardening facility that offers summer gardening and science camps for children, garden space for local residents, and opportunities for multi-generational learning. Individuals and local businesses continue to donate funding, labor, and recycled or repurposed materials for the greenhouse. Check our our extensive list of community partners and corporate donors. We are still actively fundraising and collecting donations to complete the greenhouse. Learn more about the project on our Facebook page
